This Privacy Policy explains how ToolOtter ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use our website and tools at toolotter.app (the "Service"). We've written it in plain language. The short version: your files never leave your device, and we collect as little as possible.
1. Your files and content stay on your device
Every tool on ToolOtter runs entirely within your web browser. The files, images and text you open, convert or process are handled locally on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers. We do not receive, see, store, or have any access to your content. When you leave the page, it is discarded from your browser's memory.
2. Information we collect
We aim to collect the minimum necessary to run and improve the Service:
- Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. This is used for security and to keep the site running.
- Analytics (if enabled): we may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand which tools are popular, in aggregate. This does not identify you personally.

Because your files are processed locally and never transmitted to us, the most sensitive data never leaves your control. For the limited technical data our host processes, we rely on industry-standard security measures.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised policy.
